The cork is closely linked to moments of shared pleasure and friendship. It represents the heralding sign of the celebration, in all its lightness. The fragility of today’s world comes down to an unstable and precarious balance, where everything can be called into question from one day to the next… The traffic jams thus come out of their balance to return to movement, like an “Allegory of the modern world”. As the artist says, “The cork is what’s left when you’ve forgotten everything…”
Opening with fanfare on Friday June 8, 2018 from 7 p.m., at 23 Rue Foch in Montpellier, and exhibition visible in the streets of the old town throughout the summer.
